For all you old skool immortals out there you’ll probably be jumping for joy as the Cult announce their first new album for 5 years.

Titled ‘Choice of Weapon’ the album will be released May 22nd.

The album will be released on the bands spangly new label ‘Cooking Vinyl’. ‘Choice Of Weapon’ is a ten track offering and the the follow-up to the 2007 release “Born Into This”.

Written by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, this arsenal of tunes was recorded in New York City, Los Angeles, the California high desert, and the band’s Witch Mountain studio between July and December 2011.

To join the axes of Duffy and Astbury you’ll also find John Tempesta on drums and Chris Wyse on bass.
